Hanging Apples in Patchwork Light

A square abstract still life built from flat patchwork planes: a large stylized apple in burnt orange, tangerine and cream sits at center, crowned by a dark arcing stem and broad sage grey-green leaves. Smaller apples hang from thin vertical lines like lanterns — an orange-and-cream capsule form upper left, a pale cream apple lower left, and a cream-and-amber apple upper right with slender grey leaves.

The background shifts through off-white and warm beige at the top into slate blue-grey and deep indigo navy below, its quiet rectangles giving the whole composition a woven, lantern-lit rhythm. Thin dark contour lines and soft scumbled transitions hold the flat colour fields together with gentle, painted texture.
