Painting details
Quiet Field is a study in restraint. The upper two thirds of this vertical abstract painting rest in a soft, matte expanse of warm white and pale bone, where faint atmospheric blending and subtle tonal shifts keep the surface gently alive. Across the lower third, a textured horizon band rises in thick impasto — vertical pulled strokes and knife-dragged ridges in oat, greige, taupe and soft umber, evoking the rows of a harvested field.
A low, uneven ridge of white impasto separates the quiet upper field from the earthy texture below, with darker ochre striations and small raised nodules of paint catching the light along the way. Neutral, tactile and calm, this piece brings a grounded, wabi-sabi warmth to living rooms, bedrooms and quiet interiors.
