Roping the Sun

A tall black horse stands on a deep oxblood field, bearing a rider in warm cream clothing and a wide-brimmed straw hat. The rider's arm is raised, casting a thin rust-red lasso that arcs across a dusty slate-blue sky and loops into a wide circle around a small swirled cream sun.

The composition splits into two flat bands, with heavy palette-knife ridges textured across the burgundy ground below and matte, scumbled strokes in the cool sky above. Its simplified modernist folk styling and warm tonal contrast lend a quiet, narrative charm suited to a living room, office, or entryway.
