Chromatic Drift II

Chromatic Drift II is an original abstract composition in which cool and warm colour fields meet in a slow vertical descent. A deep slate-blue and charcoal mass anchors the lower left, dissolving upward into misty pale grey and soft white. In the upper right, a luminous turquoise bloom shifts into warm amber and golden tones, while a glowing column of orange, crimson and magenta falls through the centre of the canvas, its edges softly blended into rose pink and cool grey.

Thin charcoal-black lines are drawn loosely across the surface in calligraphic diagonals, loops and small nodal marks, adding contrast against the layered scumbled fields. With its balance of quiet neutral greys and vivid warm accents, this 2:3 vertical piece suits a living room, bedroom or office wall where a contemplative yet colourful focal point is wanted.
