Painting details
A stylized equestrian scene set against a muted olive-green field scattered with small cream, black, and sienna speckles. A rider in a wide-brimmed black hat, white long-sleeve shirt, dark vest, and black trousers sits composed atop a pinto horse of exaggerated, spindly legs — its cream body marked with large burnt sienna and tan patches, finished with a black mane and long flowing tail.
The figures stand on a black-and-cream checkerboard strip along the bottom edge, grounding the flat folk-modernist composition in quiet graphic rhythm. Subtle tonal variation in the olive ground and delicate brushwork lend the piece warmth, making it a characterful accent for a living room, bedroom, or office.
