Twilight Fjord

Two dark mountain slopes part at the center of this vertical landscape, opening onto a luminous dusk sky where soft grey-blue clouds glow with warm gold and cream light at the horizon. Below, a calm waterway carries that pale radiance downward in cool blue-grey vertical strokes, its surface scattered with small glints of orange and gold along the shadowed banks.

Painted in a tonalist, atmospheric manner, the work blends hazy cloud passages with scumbled veils of slate blue, storm grey, deep teal and charcoal, while subtle warm gold breaks light up the shoreline. The gentle contrast between the glowing center and dark, quiet edges gives the piece a moody, contemplative presence suited to a living room, bedroom, or office.
