Ochre Passage

Ochre Passage is a square abstract composition built on a warm cream-white ground, where broad scumbled passages of soft grey-beige and muted sage grey settle into the left and centre of the field. A deep charcoal-green block anchors the lower left, giving the quiet palette a moment of weight and depth.

Confident flat strokes of burnt ochre and caramel brown step diagonally through the centre and upper right, while thin drawn lines fragment the surface into calm, intersecting rectangles. Soft edges dissolve in places and turn crisp in others, creating a luminous tonal contrast with restrained, deliberate brushwork — a serene neutral piece suited to living rooms, bedrooms, or office spaces.
