Ducklings on Sunlit Turquoise Water

A loose line of fluffy white ducklings paddles diagonally through bright, sunlit water in this textured impressionist-style painting. Each duckling is built from thick, layered strokes of white, cream and pale yellow, with small dark bead eyes and vivid orange-yellow bills, some paddling in profile while one swims away from view at the lower left.

The water fills the entire composition, shifting from deep cobalt and navy blue at the top, shimmering with golden-yellow sparkle, down through vivid turquoise and emerald green into lighter yellow-green dappled shallows below. Bold, visible brushwork and broken color give the surface a lively, rippling energy.
